What We Do
Miniature Ministries is run by gamers, painters, and - most importantly - nerds. We love board games, RPGs, and tabletop wargames. So it probably won't surprise you to hear that we're passionate about miniatures. The options that 3D printing opened up only made us more excited! We loved the idea that people could print their own miniatures at home, opening up the hobby like never before. Unfortunately, the low quality provided by affordable home printers and the insane prices of industrial printers meant this wasn't actually what happened. Instead, we got the next best thing - a gigantic increase in beautiful, high-quality sculpts from talented artists. Print farms, locations that print and sold these sculpts, started showing up everywhere. It's not uncommon to walk into a game store and find 3D printed models anymore, and we loved that... But that's where we started noticing problems.
The Problem
Low quality, low effort. Most 3D printed miniatures we came across were of incredibly low detail, with terrible quality control, and often sold in cheap ziplocked bags. What was even worse, just handling them on the table could cause them to break, shattering into many tiny pieces. There had to be a better way, and we set out to find it.
Our Solution
High quality flexible resin miniatures, packaged with soft foam and hard plastic.
Why Is It Green?
Our resin prints are achieved with UV reactive resin. This means the light travels through some colors better than others. Fun fact: a dark, navy blue is one of the strongest UV-blocking colors you can wear on a hot day. Many resins use coloring, also known as pigment blockers, to help with curing. Bright, clear, and transparent colored resins are great for curing quickly, but the light travels through them and can muddy details. Dark, opaque, and black colored resins are great for precise detail as it stops the UV light from traveling further into the surrounding resin, but take longer to cure. We have done a lot of research to arrive at our mixture that retains detail, and still allows the model to look great on your table, even unpainted.
Forgiving
We blend our resin to achieve the best mixture of detail-to-flexibility possible.
Quality
High quality printing resolution you can see and paint easily, even from a distance.
Safe
Soft foam ensures each miniature arrives safe and undamaged - even if someone drops it.
Organized
Easily misplaced bits such as hands are safely stored in quality bags that don't split, so they don't get lost.
